Oversized Sweaters

It’s winter! It’s actually cold here in Arizona, and staying in the 50’s as a high and getting down into the 30’s. So, I’ve been taking advantage of these cold temps snuggling up with my cozy sweaters (one of my favorite pieces of clothing to buy).

With the fashion trends leaning towards oversized shirts and sweaters it can be hard to figure out how to wear them without looking like a bag lady or looking overweight. How exactly do you maintain your shape while enjoying the trend?

Balance. Bulky paired with form fitting pieces creates the perfect balance. I like wearing my bodysuits with my skinny jeans and my sweater over it all. Make sure you can show a bit of skin somewhere and you should be good to go.

Lifetime Leather Co.

Merry Christmas to me! I got my hands on a brand new Lifetime Leather Co. tote that I’m absolutely in love with.

Now that I’m traveling a lot, I found myself in need of a nice tote that can hold my laptop and a bunch of other things for the plane. The only other tote I had was a deep cranberry color, and though it’s beautiful, it doesn’t really coordinate with a lot.

This tote is made with quality leather, and runs the fine line of being casual and professional. Just my speed! Plus, it goes with everything I own.

The tote comes in 10 different colors of leather. You can also get a smaller version and or a style with a zipper if you are concerned about the contents falling out.

I love supporting local, and this family owned business is Arizona based. They source all of their leather here in the states, and they guarantee their products will last a lifetime and commit to repairing their products if you need it. Talk about great customer service!

Be sure to check out Lifetime Leather Co. if you’re looking to purchase a quality bag. They also have some amazing backpacks that I have been eyeing.

Winter Velvet with Garnet Hill

My master bedroom got an update just in time for the holidays thanks to Garnet Hill. I finally have the best linen sheets on the planet to sleep in every night and the softest velvet green comforter to top it all off.

I have been wanting to try the tone on tone trend for a long time, and there is no color that I drool over more than emerald green. This comforter is high quality with a natural linen side as well. So, you really get two looks in one with this purchase.

If you’re looking for a bedroom refresh without redecorating the whole space, I definitely recommend just updating your linens. It makes a big impact without as much of an investment.

Madewell is having a great sale on their summer clothes right now. So many of them would be perfect for fall transition. For example, if you just add a cozy grandpa cardigan with this dress you have a fall outfit in a split second.

The marigold color is hot for fall. In fact, mustard yellow, burnt orange and shades within this color family are all SUPER hot for fall.

I always look for a good sale on quality clothes and J.Crew and Madewell are good spots for me. You will also find some cute denim skirts on sale too!
