Celebrity Comparing

rachelandsiennaCelebrities are definitely the fashion trend setters of the world. A long time ago, mostly fashion models would grace the covers of fashion magazines. Now it's always celebrities, especially when they have a new film or CD to promote. So, I thought I would pick a couple of celebrities that have similar styles and see which ones you guys favor. Sienna Miller and Rachel Bilson have very similar styles, but one is British and the other American. They both share a love for ecclectic, relaxed clothing. Which one do you think does it better?

To Cut or Not To cut? That is the question!

n10021805_35868618_79351I did the stereotypical thing and started growing out my hair when I got engaged, but I didn't do the second stereotypical post-wedding thing and chop if off afterwards. I've held onto my long hair for almost two years after my wedding. So, I'm thinking it's about time to cut it off. However, although I don't do it very often, I like to know that I have the option of braiding my hair, doing fun buns, etc. So, I'm going back and forth....Not to mention, everyone seems to be growing out their hair since the trend of bobs was more of a 2008 thing. Then again, when have I ever followed the hair trend. What do you think?

This is my hair now...(Pardon the x-ray vision glasses. I'm a superhero at night. Got to pay the bills ya know?!)n10021805_43292560_3417 n10021805_43301622_9612

Here's my celebrity inspiration haircut that I'm contemplating...Hilary Burton. Yes, I still watch One Tree Hill (have since the beginning. Peyton is my favorite character) and I love it! I have very curly hair, especially when it gets shorter, but I want my hair to still look cute with a blowout. Like it or keep it long? ab5one-tree-hill50hilarie_burton_9_8_2

GRAMMYS

grammy_awards215x280This Sunday the Grammys are happenin'!!! (I heart award show season). I'm ready to critique the fashion and make my predictions of the winners! My sister and I are ready to root for our favs (Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears area always in our top five even if they aren't nominated for anything) and will be recording our commentary. As for food, I figured it would be fun to honor Britney's comeback with some good 'ole southern or cajun food. mmmmmmmm...Let me know your predictions! Chocolate Affair

choc2This is weekend is the annual Glendale Chocolate Affair! I've never been, but I think I may venture North to Glendale this year. The event is FREE and open to the public. I think you just buy meal tickets or chocolate at the booths... There's live music and, if you're into romance novels, book signings by romance authors. (If Harry Potter counts as a romance novel, count me in...haha). I'm more excited about chocolate covered potato chips! I've heard these things are amazing. Anyone ever had one? Salty & sweet is the way to my stomach! Event hours are Friday 5 - 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m, and is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Glendale, in Murphy Park, located at 58th and Glendale avenues. Anyone else going?

Hair Party

hairbowSo, I've always had this dream of having a crazy hair party where people would come with weird hairstyles and/or whigs. We'd have a little dance party / runway to show off our crazy hair / photobooth...Maybe some prizes... Guys, seriously, I think about this at least once a month...haha. Do you have any themed party dreams? If so, what are they? OR Do you have a picture of a hairstyle you'd wear to my party? (Adrian, you can't use the mullet whig anymore, k? Let someone else use it...like Nicky).
