Innovative Jewelry

I don't wear much jewelry. If I remember or if I have time I'll add some accessories, but all in all, my wedding ring in the only piece on me. I suppose another part of it is that I have a hard time spending $35 on a necklace when I can buy a shirt for that. Anyone else feel the same? Although, I have to say I always like finding unique things. So, check this out! greenKangaroo makes one-of-a-kind, fun and interesting jewelry. Most of the pieces are made up of resin with things such as fibers, candy or flowers inserted. Pretty cool, huh?

Starbucks the new fashion accessory?

Apparently, DSquared2 feels that Starbucks is a great fashion accessory for the catwalk. Starbucks + Fashion = Count me in! I must say I love the styling for this show. Having Starbucks in a model's hand is brilliant because it automatically sends the message that they are catering to the "every day woman."  Though having Starbucks every day is expensive (ahem...Ryan) and most of these outfits are for the every day rock star/bohemian/Californian...

Fashion Faces

So, I've finally finished sketching for my admissions project! YAY! Margarita anyone? I will post my sketches as soon as I send in my project. (I've got to avoid those copycats). Anyway, the main reason it took me a long time to finish was because of my perfectionist personality and stressing about my "fashion faces." I don't put eyes on my models. Just hair and lips (no hair on lips either). haha. I was worried that it may come across as incomplete and then I saw that famous designers do that all of the time. Check out the fashion sketches that were sent to the First Lady, Michelle Obama.

FIDM & Project Runway

I don't know what this is going to look like, but FIDM has chosen to be Project Runway's west coast location!

I guess there's going to be a new season broadcasted from California! Pretty crazy, huh!? Well, this definitely makes me even more excited to apply! Click here to see the announcement.

Francesca's Collections

I don't know how I ever passed this store up! I think I have walked by Francesca's Collections at least twenty times and have never gone in until my friend Katelyn Block wrote a post about it on her blog. I finally went in and I loved everything there! They have a lot of great tops, dresses and accessories for very reasonable prices. At least a couple times a month they have coupons or deals, so make sure to get on their listserv and check out a store near you or shop online!
