Gala

My work's annual gala is coming up next month. I always look forward to it because we get to dress up in cocktail attire. So, for fun I put together an outfit using Polyvore. I chose a black dress because I feel most comfortable in black, and since this is work related I'm going to be running around every where. To shy away from being a complete bore, I found these colorful shoes and bag to brighten things up a bit and some sparkles to add some funk. A smokey eye is always special for evening events with some pale gloss and fun nail polish.

Now, if only I had tons of money to go buy a great cocktail dress....hmmm.

Leather Skirts

Do you remember when leather pants were popular in the late 90's and 2000?! Oh man, I remember 'NSYNC was all over those. haha. Well, leather skirts are back this fall, and I'm actually liking it a lot. I think leather is a material that has a masculine quality, but when made into a skirt, brings a great balance of femininity. What do you think?

Leopard. Meow!

I've never owned an item that had an animal print on it. This year may be the first because I'm diggin' the leopard print. Now, I'm not really a bold print person, so I'm thinking of leopard print accents for myself. There are, however, a lot of leopard leggings, sweaters and shirts out there if you're wanting to make a big statement. So, what do you think...are you over the animal prints or are you just getting into it like me?
