I'm in the process of branding AVE Styles, and the lovely Promise Tangeman is doing my identity work. She is having me go through an exercise of creating inspiration boards that express my style because, ultimately, I'm selling myself. So, here's a peak into my style (inspiration boards above and below)...

Preppy, classic, timeless, feminine, east coast, sophisticated

Those are the words that describe my style. Though I appreciate those that can pull off hippy chic and glam rock, I'm a fairly serious, type A gal that gets a bit frazzled by mismatched prints, neon colors and too much hardware. haha.

This entails me coming to your house, scanning your closet and drawers, creating several outfits, photographing them for you and making a inspiration board to hang in your closet for the days that you don't want to think about what to wear -the days where you just want to look effortlessly fashionable. How to Wear Flesh Tones

Flesh tones are big this spring, but many of us steer clear of the neutral hues because they can make you look washed out and naked. But, like my mom always says, "Where there's a will, there's a way." Here are my tips...

Since nudes go with everything, where bright accessories, especially near your face so the most important feature doesn't get washed away. Scarves and jeweled necklaces do the trick. A bright, big satchel across or along your body will also make you stand out in the crowd.

How to Wear a Romper

The last time I wore a romper was when I was three and building sand castles on the beach. I'm 26 now, but that doesn't mean I'm too old to embrace the trend of these one-piece wonders. Here are some tips...

For fuller busts, pick a romper with a sweetheart neckline. Use a skinny belt to create more of a waist, which usually gets lost with one piece garments. Use a cardigan or a blazer to cover up a bit so that you don't look like you're trying to act like your 18. Accent your outfit with a chunky necklace and fun flats. High heels usually aren't the way to go unless you're going out on a date.
