Sex and the City 2 Fashion Show

Well, I did it! I survived my first real fashion show!!! Over 1,000 people attend the Sex and the City 2 fashion show presented by W Scottsdale and Phoenix Fashion Week.

I got to the hotel at 6pm and spent three hours steaming all of the clothes. (Yes, I am a master steamer now. haha.) After transferring all the looks onto the roof of the hotel, we spent an hour making sure the looks were in order for the models. Surprisingly, the shoes are the hardest part. They are SO annoying to get on and off during quick changes and the fit is essential to a model's walk. We ended up having to use some of the models' actual shoes because we didn't have the perfect size in every shoe. Make it work, right?

Each look represented a character of the tv show - Miranda, Carrie, Samantha and Charlotte. I dressed the models representing Carrie and Miranda. It was soooooo much fun and soooooo much work! Check out some of the looks!

Wedding Ready

Wedding Ready by Alexandra Evjen featuring French Connection dresses Items in this set:

It was three years ago that I got hitched to my stud muffin. haha. So, in honor of my anniversary, I thought I would do a post about what to wear to weddings since wedding season has officially begun...

Prints are really big this year and great way to stand out in a sea of solid colored sun dresses.

Pearls go with everything and are the perfect accessory for your ensemble.

Lastly, wear eye catching shoes. Of course, you have to be able to walk in them, but great shoes get noticed!

LIV Designs

I got to spend some quality time with my parents over the weekend, which included sitting down with my mom and designing my own bracelet that incorporates real coral from her fabulous bead collection.

My mom is a brilliant lady that has recently tapped back into her crafty side. Starting in high school, she made all of her own clothes, and once I was born, all of mine. Recently, she has started to create beautiful, chunky statement bracelets.

They are SO beautiful that a couple of boutiques are already selling LIV Designs (her initials). An Etsy site is going to pop up shortly. I'll update all of you when that's ready, but for now you can enjoy some of my design skills. haha.

Sedona, AZ inspired my color choices of this bracelet. When I wear it I'll always remember my mother-daughter craft time in Sedona. Love you, Mom!

Fashion for Babies & Kids

I am friends with SEVEN young ladies that are pregnant. Starting in July it's going to be baby shower overload. haha.

I'm not sure when I'll be a mom, but when/if that day comes I'm going to have so much fun shopping for my mini me or mini Ryan. haha. In the meantime, I get to have fun shopping for other people's little ones.

Here are some things that I came across and really caught my attention. They aren't all baby clothes, but I enjoy the style of the outfits.

Menswear Monday - Man Spanx

I don't know if you are familiar with Spanx, but it's a company that makes shape-wear or "sucking-in-wear" for the ladies. Well, they have recently come out with a men's line of undershirts to assist with sucking in that beer belly and smoothing down your chest - Man Spanx.

These shirts are mostly cotton and 19% Spandex, and come in the three normal styles of under shirts: crew neck, v-neck and sleeveless. They cost between $55 and $58 dollars, but are long lasting.

What do you think? Would you buy one? Hey, if the ladies have things to help their shape, why can't men?
