Modern Friction

It has been awhile since I did a beauty product review mainly because I have been sticking to my usual beauty routine. On my birthday, however, I got a $10 coupon from Origins and decided to buy Modern Friction, Origins' top selling product. It's a exfoliant for your face and body. IT'S AMAZING!

I've used St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Neutrogena products, etc., this is the best one yet. Before I purchased the product they tested it on one of my hands. After I had rinsed it off, you could see a noticeable difference between my two hands. There was a healthy glow to my skin and my hand had never felt SO smooth.

I highly recommend it, and if you're in a dry climate like Arizona, I now consider it a MUST have.

Happy Birthday U.S.A.!

The 4th of July has a special place in my heart not only because it's the day we became a free country, but it reminds me of my grandparents. Here's a little trivia for ya...Bristol, Rhode Island is home to the oldest 4th of July parade in the history of the U.S.A. It's crazy there around this time. People wake up at 4a.m. to get there spot for the parade. Smells of the ocean, clam cakes, lobster and fresh squeezed lemonade fill the air. At night everyone gets on their boats in the harbor to watch the fire works. If you ever visit you'll notice that the medians of certain roads are painted red, white and blue. Talk about patriotism, right?! That's probably what I love most about New England and my grandparents.

Every 4th of July I miss them so much. The year that my grandpa passed away he got to be the grand marshall of the parade, which is the biggest honor in the town. Our whole family got to walk the three mile parade route together. It has to be one of my favorite memeories of all time!

So, now that you know a little bit more about me, I want to know a little something about you. What's your style for the 4th. Girly and cute or comfortably cool? I'm up for both.

Obsessed with Chevron Prints

Stripes are everywhere right now. You'll find them in home decor and in fashion, but why not take things up a notch and embrace chevron prints. I'm pretty darn obsessed with them at the moment. Chevron floors, pillows, curtains, clothes...It's in my branding for cryin' out loud. haha! To me, it creates more texture than simple stripes, and can be flattering to the body depending on which way the zigs and zags are facing.

What do you think? Rather stick with stripes? Check out the inspiration below, and share your thoughts!
