Part 1: Let's Dance

Back in September, I was surfing the web and stumbled upon some dance photography, and it reminded me of the elegance and beauty dancers bring to the simplest clothing. They could be wearing a loose pocket t-shirt and leggings and look incredibly gorgeous and fashionable simply because of how they carry themselves.

So, I wanted to do a dance-wear inspired shoot with basic clothing, colors and hair to really remind everyone and MYSELF that you don't need bright lipstick, striped dresses or awesome shoes to look fashion-forward. You can wear the plainest shirt and look chic.  It's just about the ethereal, beauty that every woman possesses and needs to have confidence in.

So, here is the inspiration for the shoot that just took place on Sunday in collaboration with Jeanette Leblanc Photography, Kim Cornwell, Jennifer Zahorski and AVE Styles.

Bicycle Fashion

Lately, I have really been wanting a cute beach cruiser with a basket on the front. I want to ride to my local coffee shops, stuff some yummy treats in my basket and ride home in the sunshine and crisp air. Granted, it's hard to do that in Phoenix without getting hit by a car, but I like the idea of it. haha!

Plus, it seems that bikes have become the latest fashion accessory. Although, I think I'm going to need some lessons on how to ride a bike in a dress. I just don't see how it's possible without showing the whole world your underpants. I'm thinking shorts and flats to start.

Anyone else want a bike after seeing this fashion inspiration???

Eye Spy

So, other than Ke$ha, most of us don't wear neon eye shadow on a daily basis or EVER. I must say though, colorful eyeshadow is SOOO pretty when I see it in fashion shows and makeup ads. It makes me want to rush over to M.A.C. and have them paint my eyelids cobalt blue, and reminds me that makeup application is truly an art form!!!

Fuzzy vs. Frizzy

Yes, there is a difference between fuzzy and frizzy, and being a curly haired brunette that used to live in 100% humidity in Houston, Texas and now living in Phoenix, Arizona, I DEFINITELY know the difference between fuzzy and frizzy. Below, is the perfect example of the difference. Frizzy on the left, fuzzy on the right.

AND I WANT FUZZY!!!

In the next couple of weeks Miss Promise and I are doing a fun little photo shoot where WE will actually be the models, and we're going for some major FUZZY hair. Our hair stylist, Kim Cornwell, did a test style on my hair and I'm SOOO pumped to add the makeup and fashion.

To me, fuzzy just looks natural and free. For the first time I feel like it's actually fashionable to have billions of fly-aways considering for the past five years anti-frizz serums have been the number one product salons have pushed for me to purchase. haha!

So, embrace the fuzz right now before long, sleek hair comes back in style and check out some inspiration below.
