Capes

So, I may be getting a tad ahead of myself considering it's still 106 degrees in Phoenix, but I'm already spying my next winter coat - or shall I say CAPE! Pea coat style is usually what catches my eye each winter, but I'm ready for something different. Capes have been around for ages. I'm not sure why all of the sudden I'm wanting one. Maybe I'm watching too many Marvel comic movies?

Home Renovation Peek

Well, it's safe to say I have the home renovation itch. Ryan and I have been turning our 1953 home upside down over the past two weeks. I thought you guys might want to see some sneak peeks via my cell phone. I put some Bertoia look-a-like chairs together, we made our own front door, we painted our living-room, kitchen, cabinets, installed some new lights, and did some yard demo. It has been CRAZY, but I'm loving the transformation. Full reveal with before and after pictures coming soon!

 

I got my hair did.

It has been a year since I colored my hair, which is a LONG time in Alex hair terms. The past year I had the cool ombre look, but mostly because I was trying to avoid further hair damage and save some money by growing my color out. Well, last week I finally broke down and dyed it dark brown. I just couldn't take it anymore! What can I say? I'm addicted to change.

My friend Christine Valero of Hair Story did an awesome job! I hung out with my dear friend Gina Meola afterward, and she just couldn't help but snap some pics. Thanks, Gina!

Oh, and you'll also notice Wendy got a TERRIBLE haircut over at Smelly Dog. Don't go there!

Freckled Face

Something quirky about me that you probably don't know is that I kind of have an obsession with freckles. I don't have ANY freckles, and I definitely want what I can't have. They are the cutest form of polka dots in my opinion! They remind me of the summer and the all-American style that I love so much. I seriously want to take my eye liner to my nose some days. Yes, I know. I'm WEIRD! But how can you look at the pictures below and not love those tiny brown dots?
