Stylish Weekender

Everyone has their indulgences, right? For some people it's once a month massages, nail appointments, having their car detailed, Sprinkles cupcakes, etc. For me, trying new restaurants, having my hair done, and soy lattes are my frequent rewards. The ULTIMATE treat, however, is travel. I LOVE visiting new places, friends and family. Plus, after seeing this AWESOME weekender at Urban Outfitters (first bag below), I'm itching to jet set off to California, Colorado or even New Mexico since they're all close by.

Menswear Monday - Hats

Every guy should have a good hat. Think about it...

1. If you have a bad hair day you can still look stylish with a hat.

2. If you are losing your hair you can cover it up with a hat.

3. You will get noticed because most people don't wear them often.

4. Hats protect your head from the sun

5. Some hats keep your head nice and toasty

Now, I should clarify and say that I'm not talking about baseball caps. Though they are functional and appropriate for athletic activity, sporting events, gardening, etc., they aren't "stylish" at the moment. Here are some examples...

You can find hats like these at any department store, Urban Outfitters or GAP. My husband has a hard time finding hats that fit well, so if you are in the same boat, try knit hats as shown in the last photo.

Bib & Oversized Necklaces

Okay guys/gals, what are your thoughts on the new trend of bib/oversized necklaces? They are all over Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie...Some of them I just don't get, especially the cloth ones. Here are some pics...

Booties

Do you own a pair of booties yet or are you waiting for this trend to die? I don't own any, but this trend has definitely grown on me. Here are some that I thought were pretty cute and on sale. Now is the time to buy booties because summer is on it's way and winter shoes are on sale big time. This trend isn't going away anytime soon, so you may want to consider hunting for some cute ones!
