Vests

Spring has sprung! I don't know about you, but here in Arizona layers are important during this time of year. During the day you'll find the temps soaring at 80 degrees, and then they plummet down to the 60's. One of the latest fashion trends I'm really loving right now is adding a vest to your ensemble. It's one more layer to keep you warm, but it's sleeveless and easy to shed when you need to. I never really gave vests much thought because the last time I wore one it was the 1990's. It had flowers on it and a ribbon belt in the back. Anyone remember this?!

These vests are MUCH different. Specifically, cargo vests and denim vests are the ones to wear. Check out this style inspiration...

Menswear for Women

I love getting to style my friends, and I especially love getting to style Promise Tangeman because the girl has a KILLER closet. Together, we came up with three outfits showing how to wear men's clothing as women's wear for the April issue of EMMA Magazine. Her hubby, Brian Wurzell, also has fabulous style. Are you surprised? Bensimon Sneakers

I first saw slip on Bensimon sneakers when I went to Germany five years ago, and was glad to see them on girls all over Paris this past summer. Bensimon sneakers are a French girl staple, and if you're anything like me, you'll buy just about any product that brings you closer to being mistaken for a Parisian. If you're into fashion sketches or illustrations, there's quite a few blogs today that post a lot of art related content. I love Garance Dore's sketches and she even sells some of her drawings as prints! My two favorites of her are black and white: fashill2

Overalls

Overalls, that classic toddler garment, seem to be replacing the romper and jumpsuit as a go-to summer trend. But the overalls we're seeing today aren't your OshKosh faves from your preschool days, they're much more fashion forward. The classic denim can still be chic: overalls1 Why not try overalls in all white? Keep the rest of the outfit more dressy to avoid an "I'm here to paint your house" impression
