Pinterest & Styling

Hello! Hello! You may or may not have notice a long absence from blogging. I know I certainly have. Over the last month or two I've been working on a site/blog redesign. I can't wait to share it with you. Above you'll find a sneak peek. Waterfall Creative has been so awesome in helping me with this process. I'm hoping the launch will happen by next month. EEK! But in other news, I'm still pin, pin, pinning away and styling. I had another appearance on channel 3 not too long ago sharing some quick beauty tips for jet setters and women on the go (click here to see the video and read the article). I brought along Stephanie Neiheisel for some makeup artist expertise. I adore that girl!

I'm still styling away too! I have some projects that will be coming out in due time. If you follow me on Instagram you'll get some behind the scenes looks into my styling and personal world. I really want to stress that I'm still meeting with clients too. Personal styling is the heart and soul of AVE Styles. Even though my success on Pinterest seems to get the most attention via social media I want you all to know that my heart is still devoted to making the sometimes complicated world of fashion simple for men and women.

Ryan, Elle and I also had a chance to take our first family vacation to the east coast. It was so great to take Elle on her first plane ride, show her the ocean for the first time and have her meet all of my extended family. Motherhood is so sweet, and I am so thankful to spend my days raising a daughter and being the wife of an incredible man.

Stay tuned for fashion related posts. =)

Tomboy Styled Shoot

I always love sharing new projects with you. This is a shoot featuring some fall tomboy style. I personally relate a lot to the outfits in this project. Actually, a lot of the items are from my closet, as well as some thrifted pieces from Buffalo Exchange. If you haven't been to that place go right now! You can find so many great deals. _DSC5792 96 (1)

Getting to work with Stephanie Neiheisel and Mark Morgan is always a treat because they are amazing at what they do. You may notice a familiar face in these photos. This is Cristina Irimiciuc from FORD RBA. She modeled in the Fall Flux photo shoot that I'm still in love with to this day. She has such a Kate Moss quality to her. I adore working with this team!

I really wanted to portray that you can carry this style into the office, to parties and on the weekends. You can also add a bit of femininity with some makeup and shoes.

I hope you love the project!

Featured in W25 Magazine

It's the best feeling to share projects that I have worked on and that have been published. Sometimes I have to wait months to share them with you, so when I finally have the green light it's like Christmas morning to me. Screen Shot 2013-06-01 at 11.53.31 AM

I recently collaborated with Mark Morgan and Stephanie Neiheisel to create a bohemian inspired photo shoot. With amazing modeling by Abrianna Coons with Jani Model Management, the character of this wild bohemian girl came to life. Sporting pieces such as over-the knee boots, a cut-off Ramones t-shirt, a spiked hat and a utility vest, Abrianna became a this tough girl with a laid back style.

w25 magazine was kind enough to publish this shoot. You can check out the spread here and also view some other really artistic projects.

Let me know what you think! Do you have an inner wild Crocodile Dundee style?

Mint, Coral & Blue

Some of the hottest colors for spring and summer are mint, coral, and blue.  Alejandra, Stephanie, Megan and I thought this pretty trifecta was too good to pass up. We decided to spend an hour one morning photographing how to wear this summer's hottest colors in small ways. I hope you find yourself inspired by the color combinations, and keep reading to see my tips on how to incorporate the color into your wardrobe. View More: http://imaginale.pass.us/avestyles

Mint is everywhere. I love wearing it in bold ways like a lightweight tee because I think it makes my skin look more tan. haha. However, if you're a bit hesitant, wear it in small doses like these flats.

Coral is great because it flatters pretty much every skin tone. A way to start your coral collection is with a cute pair of coral skinnies, I like these, which are more of the coral/pink, and these high waisted, slightly cropped jeans. Coral is also a really pretty color to add into your beauty routine. I love Stephanie's lips and nails in the picture above.

Blue had a major moment for winter, especially cobalt. Incorporate blue into your summer wardrobe with this statement blazer and this cool, printed dress. And again, you can add the color in small doses with a great necklace, shoes or sunnies.
