So You Think You Can Dance
/Today is a wonderful, beautiful day because one of my favorite shows (next to Project Runway and LOST) starts tonight - So You Think You Can Dance!!!! Can I get a woooot! wooot!? Besides the amazing dancing and crazy judges, Cat Deeley alone is one of the best parts of the show. She has great style and is so lovable!
Check out some of her fashionable moments! (Show starts at 8/7c on Fox tonight).
Fur Fan?
/I've grown up with the mindset of never purchasing or supporting clothing that uses fur from animals that are solely bread for the purpose of fashion. Colorful furs are a big trend for Fall 2009, but you won't see me partaking in that because of my personal convictions and because I don't have a boat load of money to drop.
Why doesn't everyone just do faux fur?
You may be thinking to yourself, "But what about leather, Alex?" Leather goods aren't a problem with me because the animal wasn't bread for just clothing. People also use cows for meat to nourish people and for other things.
What are your thoughts on fur and leather? Do you have a hard time justifying your purchase sometimes?
Two Years of Bliss
/Well, today is my 2 year wedding anniversary! YAY! I can't believe I said "I do" two years ago! It sure has been a great adventure. I'm so thankful to have the awesome support of our friends, family and church.
Thank you to everyone for the prayers over the years. We've come across many skeptics on our path. So many people out there don't support the institution of marriage anymore or they thought we were too young. Well, today is proof of one of the best decisions we've ever made!
Also, this past weekend was Ryan's graduation. Check out the video Yasmine took of his name being called...So proud!
Please Don't - Harem Pants
/I have made Fridays my days of requests to consumers...Please don't wear harem pants. Harem pants do not flatter anyone's figure. If you want to have fatter legs and a saggy crotch, by all means go for it. However, I'd think the normal woman would want to make her figure look the best it possibly can be and harem pants don't seem to be a part of the equation. Men, this goes for you too unless you're M.C. Hammer.
I can't stop the fact that these pants have been manufactured and placed on the sales racks already. I can't stop you from trying them on either. The one request I have is that you please just look in the mirror and ask yourself the usual question, "Does this make me look fat?"
