Signature Scent

Do you have a signature scent? I love perfumes and fragrant lotions, but I can't stick to just one. After a month of using a new perfume, something better comes out and I want to wear that. The past perfumes I've worn are Dolce & Gabbana "Light Blue," Donna Karan "Cashmere", Lacoste "Pour Femme" with some Bath & Body Works sprays and random samples of perfume from Sephora. haha.

My latest favorite, I haven't bought it yet, is Elizabeth Arden's "Pretty."

Pop Lover

I love pop music to the core! I always have and I always will. I listen to almost all genres of music, but the mainstream, MTV artists will always have a fan in me. Nothing makes me happier than a good dance party in my living room or in front of my mirror with Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake tunes in the background. (Yes, Ryan, I still have dance parties when you're not home). All morning I've been listening to pop music on Pandora (I have a Britney Spears radio station), and all i want to do is have a fashion photo shoot now...Jessica, better get out the camera...haha. So, in honor of my burst of pop cravings,  here's my top ten list of 2008/2009 pop artists:

Lime Ricki Swimwear

It's summer, and for Arizonans that means that you live in your pool from May until September. I've been on the hunt of a modest swimsuit that looks cute and not "grannyish." Well, I've found the mother load!!! I'm all for bikinis, especially when I need to work on my tan, but when I'm swimming with my guy friends I just feel super self conscious of my chest and body. I've always felt more comfortable in one pieces, but most of the time they're ugly, they don't fit my long torso and my chest is still va va voom, if you will.

I discovered Lime Ricki off a blog and thought I'd give them a try. Their whole philosophy is modesty with style. Their prices are in line with most places and I'm definitely a satisfied customer!

I purchased the "Ava" swimsuit...I love it! It's lined, has padding, it's long enough in the torso too! I'm a size 8 and I ordered a medium.

Unfortunately, due to the high response of their summer collection, they've sold out of a lot of styles. Keep checking their blog for updates. I know that they're restocking some today.

CFDA Popular Vote

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and L'Oreal Paris have created a new award called the Popular Vote. This is your chance to vote for your favorite designer of 2009! Let me tell you, man...it's a hard pick. There are four pages of designers to choose from. Basing my vote on 2009 collections, I chose Derek Lam. He is just doing some amazing things and I would wear everything he has designed for this year. Catherine Malandrino, 3.1 Philip Lim, Lela Rose and Twinkle by Wenlan were up there for me too.
