ReForm School Rules

skateboardclutchHere's another little company I found and thought it was worth sharing. ReFormSchoolRules.com is a place to find little gifts like postcards, stationary, journals, scarves and natural bath & body products. Some highlights include a skateboard clutch, a forget-me-knot ring, organic rosemary shampoo and a felt bird sewing kit...shampoo feltbirdsewingkitiheartpublictransportationonesiejillblissjournalluxuryapartmentmilkbottlesnon-planner-plannerrasiedbythewolvesonesiescarfforgetmeknotringskateboardclutchseesawprintrepurposedpillowstshirt

I'm Lovin' It

victorias-secret-eyeshadowAs I was putting on my makeup yesterday, I had a thought that I should share my beauty routine and things that I'm lovin' right now. I'd love to hear about yours too! 1. Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lip color - I wrote a post about this earlier, and I'm still loving this lip product. Lasts forever! Just reapply clear gloss throughout the day. The colors I wear are Constantly Coral, Bare Maximum, Infinite Raspberry and Maximum Mauve.

2. L'Oreal Telescopic Clean Definition Mascara - I love the wand, I love the price, I love that it washes off with ease. I keep coming back to this mascara. I've worn Benefit, Max Factor, Chanel and Dior - all of the high ranking mascaras...This is still my favorite.

3. Nars Blush in Orgasm - The color name may be racey, but it sure is all it's cracked up to be. It's long lasting and works wonderfully with my skin tone. It's great for summer because it has flecks of gold in it.

4. Lorac Breakthrough Performance Foundation - This water-based formula is great for acne prone skin. It also has an SPF of 14 in it! I think it's definitely work the price. Lasts all day!

5. Benefit Bo-ing Concealer - I don't know why I didn't use this concealer before! It works so well with my skin tone.

6. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil - I change up my eye liner a lot. I still love MAC eye liners, but I think I found a new favorite in Urban Decay. This liners go on like "butta." I currently wear Bourbon. I don't have a favorite liquid liner, but I'm satisfied with Revlon's Colorstay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black. If you have a favorite, let me know!

7. Victoria's Secret Radiant Shimmer Eye Palette - MAC has my all time favorite eye shadows. Their pigment is the best! However, I had a gift card to Victoria's Secret and this eye shadow palette caught my eye. I love these colors and the pigmentation is very good. I was pleasantly surprised! I've been wearing the gold and bronze colors for the past couple of days. They are perfect for summer.

Status Update

updateFor those that I see on a regular basis, this may not be new. However, for all of the rest of you...here's an Evjen update. Ryan had his last day at Arizona State University on Tuesday. He recently accepted a job at meltmedia as a junior project manager. This is going to be a great place for him to grow professionally within the tech industry. We feel so blessed that God has given Ryan a job in a huge recession, and I'm so excited for the relationships that he'll create in his new workplace. Ryan will also continue his work with Visdom, LLC.

This obviously begs the question as to whether or not I still plan on attending FIDM...Abso -freakin'-lutely! Ryan took this new job with the company being aware that I had applied to this school. Due to the fact that we were unsure of when we'd be able to go, he accepted this job. While in limbo, this will give him a great skill set! Ryan and I are still on the hunt for employment in California, but because Cali has the highest rate of unemployment in the nation we're not going to hold our breath. So, this means that I may have to defer my acceptance to a later date unless we find something within the next two months (fingers crossed). There is a possibility that Ryan may be able to move to San Francisco with meltmedia, but that's a very small chance.

So, how am I feeling with all of this? It's a mixture of emotions...As a wife, I couldn't be happier! I have a husband that's over the moon happy! When he's happy, I'm happy. As a professional, I feel frustrated, hopeless, envious and impatient. I want to be able to go to school and work at my dream job right now too. (Oh, this intricacies of marriage! Wouldn't trade it for a second though.) In the end, I'm just thankful that God is alive and knows me better than I know myself. That's just a hard truth to swallow when I've finally taken a huge leap of faith in myself and abilities, applied to FIDM and got accepted. Ya know? On the bright side, I'm extremely thankful I have a great job when so many don't in these hard times. I'm also glad to have a fantastic husband that is VERY supportive of my endeavors and wants to see me succeed too.

Well, please continue to pray for us, and I'll keep you all posted!

Session 9 Photography

session932Jessica and Jason Williams are two great friends of mine that are incredibly talented and have recently/finally started their photography company - Session 9. Jason and Jessica are fantastic parents of Cruz and amazing worship leaders at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship. They are also blessed with this natural talent to capture moments with families and friends. If you're in need of some up-to-date photos of your family or you want to give someone a great birthday gift, do a fun photo shoot with Session 9! Ryan and I are going to be doing a photo shoot with the Williams later this summer in Sedona. We're so excited to have some new photos of us other than wedding/engagement pictures. haha. Since they are starting up their business, prices start at the awesome price of $100.00 and are set based upon the type of photo shoot (wedding, portrait, engagement, birthday, etc.) If you would like to get an estimate or book a session, email session9photography@gmail.com.

Here is some of their amazing work...They are kicking off their new website within the next couple of weeks. In the meantime they are showcasing their work on Flickr.
