Oxfords

img-thingWhat do you think of oxfords? Are you excited about this fashion trend? Though I have yet to buy a pair of oxfords, I'm glad they are becoming more popular. I've always loved the combination of masculine and feminine. Oxfords with skirts are a perfect combination, and I'm looking forward to wearing them in the spring. Here are some examples of oxfords and how to wear them...

Be Neutral

img-thingI'm the girl that rarely changes her purse. The reason being is that it's a chore to  have to take everything out of the bag I carry my "life" in. Neutral bags are a necessity to any wardrobe because they match with every outfit. Black and brown are colors I wear often, and though it's okay to mix and match the colors, a neutral bag will always go with a black outfit or a brown outfit.

So, if you're like me, and hate when things don't match and hate changing bags, put a neutral bag on your Christmas wish list. Click to view some examples.

Colorful Eyeliner

purple-eyeliner-189936The other day I pulled out some purple eyeliner, wanting to get out of my rut of traditional brown and black. I really enjoyed wearing it and forgot its ability to make my eyes pop. I'm not sure if you have experimented or tried navigating these colorful waters, but I feel everyone should give blues, greens, purples, silvers, golds and pinks a shot, especially if you have smaller eyes or lids that aren't very exposed. If you are looking to make a purchase of a new liner, I recommend Urban Decay's 24/7 Pencil. They go on smoothly and are easy to blend if you would like a smokey eye. If you are wanting high pigmentation, M.A.C.'s Paint Pot can be a great option when applied with a small angled brush.

Tarte Eyelash Curler

P133808_heroI recently purchased Tarte's Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler, and I am one happy customer. Now, you may be asking yourself, "What's the big deal?" Well, let me tell ya... For the past five years I have been using M.A.C's eyelash curler. It did the trick - starting at the base of my lashes and working toward the ends, I would curl my lashes three times for extra height. I never really thought that another lash curler would do a better job until I noticed my M.A.C. curler was swiping lashes from my lovely lids.

I threw it away and thought there had to be a better one. After a lot of research, the Shu Umera Eyelash Curler kept coming up as number one, but it costs $20.00. So, I went to the second highest rated one, Tarte's ($15.00).

It's nice because you don't have to put your fingers through a mini handle, and it makes my lashes go sky high in one or two presses. I highly commend it if you don't have one. And, if you don't curl your lashes you're missing out on a "eye opening" improvement in your beauty regimen. Lashes normally stick straight out, so curling them directs them upwards allowing people to see your iris more and giving the appearance of being more awake.
