Autumn is right around the corner and my mind can't stop racing with fall fashion ideas. Recently, this pin of Lauren Nelson's flawlessly executed double denim look caught my eye. Double denim is one of those "love it or hate it" kinda trends. When done with care, I really do love the effortless, laid-back look it creates. If you're thinking about piling on the denim this fall, pay very close attention to hues. The key to pulling off double denim is to either go full on matchy-matchy, or completely contrasting. Notice how Lauren's jacket and jeans are the same true blue, but their rich hue contrasts the lighter blue oxford underneath. If you're still unsure about denim on denim, try wearing black denim paired with a very light washed denim. And if you're ready to dive in head first, get the whole look below for just $115!
Can you believe it's already June?! That means it's time to (extra) celebrate all of the dads out there. Shopping for fathers isn't always the easiest task, so I've put together some ideas to help guide the way.
Tech gifts are great because no matter what, each year there is some new gadget on the market to take for a spin. Grooming gifts like fancy shaving sets and nice cologne are great because they're special treats that men might not be inclined to spend money on for themselves, but are still practical. If practicality is what you're looking for, the no-nonsense kind of man will love gifts that are simple and handy, like the S'well bottle below. (Have you heard about those? They're amazing!) Lastly, you have your fashion gifts. Because what dad wouldn't appreciate a new pair of sunglasses or a wear-everywhere watch?

During the winter months, it's easy to fall into a bit of a style rut. Gravitating again and again to the same coat or sweater and wearing jeans 90% of the time. Whenever I'm feeling like this I turn to Pinterest for inspiration. Winter should be a fun season to dress for, not a bland one. Just think of all the things you could layer...
The outfit below is a perfect example of a unique, layered winter look. (And considering this image has been re-pinned over 325 times, I can't be the only one to think so.) You probably already have a simple black sweater and white button down hiding in your closet, so all you'll need to add is a slim-fitting leather midi skirt, which is also a versatile piece. Plus, this look can take you straight from the office to happy hour! Feel free to add your favorite winter trench coat and switch up the peep toe booties for some closed toe pumps.
It seems like any day now I'm going to meet my daughter, and I couldn't be more excited. I know I'm going to fall head-over-heels and never want let her go. But in this very moment, after scrolling through loads of images on Slow Motion Living, I just want to jump off of this couch and start creating beautiful imagery. I don't think my hunger for creating beautiful moments will ever go away, and I can't wait until I can get back out on the streets and continue doing it. Until then, I'm just going to enjoy the work of others, and I hope you do too.
