THE PERFECT GRAY CHAIR

This post is sponsored by SIXPENNY.

I must confess a big home design mistake to you all. It's one that I made two times over. I have purchased two sofas for our living room without reading any reviews or much research. I based my choices purely on the advertised pictures. I didn't even measure my space beforehand. I just eye-balled it with full confidence everything would work out. Well, it didn't. The colors weren't right and the sizing was off. But, I have learned from my old ways, and I no longer go with just aesthetics. I only buy from trusted, quality furniture companies, and that's why I love SIXPENNY.

They are a furniture company that not only offers beautiful, modern designs, but guarantees satisfaction and quality. Each chair and sofa is made to order. Mine was shipped to me within a week of my order being placed. They also have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee and no restocking fees. That's so rare in the online furniture buying world.

I love online shopping, but the other challenge I face is figuring out if the colors are true to the photos. With SIXPENNY, what you see is what you get. I got their ARLO chair in the gray wool, and it was exactly what I thought it would look like in person. I love it because the seat is deep and you can really lounge in it.  Right away I could tell it was well made, and it's now my favorite seat in my living room.

The only thing is that this chair is going to be moved upstairs into our bedroom/office space soon. So, I guess that means I will have to buy another one. ;) If you're looking for modern, quality furniture at great prices, definitely check out SIXPENNY.

OLIVE GREEN JEANS

This post is sponsored by Zappos.

Shopping for the perfect pair of jeans can be feel daunting at times, but when you find the perfect pair you feel like you have won the lottery. Am I right? I've already told you about my obsession with online shoe shopping on Zappos.com in past posts, but here's a case for doing your jean shopping online too. It's fast, free shipping both ways and their 365 day return policy allows me to avoid long dressing room lines while trying on my jeans in the comfort of my home. I also particularly love this way of shopping for jeans because then I can create outfits with my clothes and try my pants on with my shoes to see if it all works together. Besides, you'll have more room for those awkward hops, plie squats and moves to get your jeans on and off and listen to Justin Timberlake while you're at it.

Case in point, my new trooper green, skinny Hudson jeans. I've been on the hunt for a neutral color like this olive green, which also happens to be having a moment in the spotlight of fashion right now, and these jeans with built in stretch are perfection.

Hudson has always been a brand that fits me well. I have very long, thin legs, and after having two babies their mid-rise style with stretch is the a great solution to keep any signs of a muffin top at bay. They are so comfortable, and give you that cool factor that only British brands can do.

If you're scared of wearing color on your bottom half you shouldn't be. In fact, olive green is a less assuming color verses bright red or cobalt blue (I have had those colors too). Some ideas of tops and colors that work well with these pants are: pastel pink, rose gold/copper, ivory; white; brown; camel; navy; chambray; light blue; black; rust; maroon; mustard yellow.

This is a quintessential fall outfit for Arizonans. Fall colors of olive and rust are obvious, but my sleeveless knit tank and a boho element of a long scarf ties it all together for a west coast look that doesn't make you sweat in our 80 degree weather.Be sure to give online jean shopping a whirl, and let me know how it goes!

COMFORTABLE STYLE

Everything I own MUST be comfortable and stylish. The mom in me requires comfort, and the stylist in me expects style. Shoes, especially, have to fit this criteria because I am on my feet all day. What mom of a three year old and 7 month old sits down? Haha! I've teamed up with Zappos.com and Born to share with you my comfortable style.

I've said this time and time again, but my favorite outfit is a button down shirt, pants and cute shoes. It's classic, comfortable and stylish. These black shoes from Born in the Cindie style are my new favorites. I ordered them on Zappos.com and got them in two days time. The convenience of online shopping just can't be beat when you have little ones. Taking them shoe shopping is not as enjoyable as surfing the web with a glass of wine and fast shipping. Zappos.com makes it so easy, and returns are totally free too, so why wouldn't you shop this way and avoid tantrums in the store, right?

These are my third pair of Born shoes, and I'm a lifelong customer now. You can always find the latest fashion trends in their designs. Chunky heels have come back in a huge way, and I'm so glad because they make walking easier.

Born's high quality leather offers amazing comfort, and the rubber bottoms keep me from slipping. I also love that I can dress these shoes up or down and where them anywhere. Check out Born on Zappos.com for more comfortable style. There's something for everyone.

It's almost fall fashion season!!! Can you smell it? I think it smells like leather. Don't you? I'm so excited for it, and I've teamed up with eBay to curate my own fashion sales event featuring finds from brands like: Chloe, Dolce Gabbana, and Michael Kors. Get ready for the fall season and stay looking chic all year long with everything I've selected. The nice thing about eBay is that you can easily find that Chloe bag you've been searching for, but get it for so much less than other retailers. Who doesn't love a bargain, right?

So, you guys already know I'm a complete Pinterest fanatic. Well, I wanted to share with you yet another cool website that allows you to not only categorize all of the things that you are loving right now so that you can be inspired and/or buy things down the line, but it also lets you be, if you will, an owner of your own shop.

Luvocracy is a brand new site that just launched, and they're changing how we shop. Instead of browsing all of your favorite stores online, why not browse the online shops of all of your friends?! I know that recommendations from my friends mean a lot to me, and I love their personal style. Why wouldn't I want to buy something from their shop? Luvocracy has created a way for you to add anything that you see while you're shopping online to your page or "shop." And when you do that, it is then shared with all of the people that "trust" your taste - in other words, follow your recommendations.

Once you've added an item to your shop, you no longer have to go back to that website to buy it or even click an image and get directed back to the website. You can just buy it directly from your shop page. COOL, huh?! AND...whenever you or someone buys an item that you have recommended, you get a commission from the sale. Yep, you get to make money while you shop and share your latest finds. Why wouldn't you sign up, right? =)

Sound like something you want to dive into?! You should!
