Sure, superstar bloggers and celebs get drawn all the time, but I just learned about the coolest app that lets you become the star of your very own fashion illustration. Just download Chic Sketch in the app store, upload a photo, and you'll receive a one of a kind fashion illustration by the app's Co-Founder, Emily Brickel Edelson. How cool is that?! These would make awesome gifts, as well.

Glitter Challenge

About a month ago, I had the idea of challenging my Instagram community to create art using glitter. I said I would commit to sharing the projects of those that participated in the glitter challenge by blogging about them and pinning images from the creators' sites.

Here is the first submission from Amy Hanen of Amy Frances Photography and Malori Maeva of Hoot and Holler. They collaborated and included some of their friends, Taylor and Kristina. I LOOOOVE what they created.

Gap Premium Denim

You may have seen loads of advertisements lately for Gap Premium Denim. Let me tell ya, it's definitely all it's cracked up to be. I always buy Gap jeans, but I'm really liking these cuts of denim. I bought some premium skinny jeans a couple weeks ago and I love them. Polyvore.com held a contest for Gap called, "Born to..." I created a look that described what I'm born to do. I said that I'm born to learn because that's exactly what I love doing every day. I love learning about God, fashion, people, music, art...you name it. It might be cheesy, but it's true. I used items that reminded me of college. Simple and comfortable.

Art of Life

The young adults of my church, Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, is hosting a night called the "Art of Life" tomorrow night (Thursday) at 7:30PM.  It's all about experiencing and celebrating the art deeply embedded within us all. Surrounding cities and communities are invited to enjoy an eclectic collection of art forms including live music, fine art, photography, multimedia, live hair design, fashion, metalwork and multiple interactive installations. I've submitted some of my stuff that will be hanging up and I'd love for anyone who's available to come check this evening out!
