Summer Sales - Where to Shop

We just celebrated the 4th of July, and according to the fashion world summer is officially over now. Yep! It's over. Stores are putting all of their summer gear on sale, getting ready to bring in fall transitional items that will make you wish you were going back to school just so you can wear your new clothes for the first day.

By early September (just two months away), you'll start to see fall looks in full swing.

When you're sitting in 110 degree heat this seems absurd, but for the fashion lover like me I count down to this time of year. haha. It means MAJOR sale time, and a preview of the beautiful, autumn fashions to come.

First things first, where should you be shopping these major sales?

1. URBAN OUTFITTERS - They are having a crazy sale right now. I've never seen shoes SO cheap. This sale is happening in stores AND online. So, don't worry if you don't have a store close to you.

2. MADEWELL - This store along with J.Crew is my favorite of all time. It's just my style down to the T. So, of course, I'm super excited that ALL of their sale items are an ADDITIONAL 30% off when you use the code SALEAWAY. Right now they have some super adorable shoes on sale, as well as some sweaters and dresses that I've been eying for awhile.

3. ANTHROPOLOGIE - Ah yes, the store that has so many beautiful things at high prices...Well, now you can finally get your paws on the summer styles that you've been wanting without breaking the bank. Score colored denim, sequined skirts and silk blouses for under $100 with Anthro's summer sale. It's an additional 25% off the lowest price!!!

Go out shopping and stock up! Colored denim, button down shirts, exposed backs will all remain popular next year.

Birthday Goodies

Today is my birthday. WOOOHOOO! Though I don't love the fact that I found a gray hair on my head the other day (sigh), I am definitely celebrating turning the big 2-7 by doing a little sale shoppin'. Actually, I did it on Monday...I just couldn't resist. haha! Want to see what I found???

First stop Banana Republic. I walked into the store because they had a giant sale sign that said take an additional 40% sale items. How could I say no? I ended up finding a denim shirt on sale for $24.99, bringing the total down to $16. WOOHOO! Unfortunately, online they only have it on sale for $49, so check out your local store.

Then I headed over to my all time favorite store, J.Crew. Of course, I had the best luck there. :) I found several fun things on sale with a bonus of an additional 30% off all items.

1. Awesome slim boyfriend jeans on sale for $19.99. For all of the years I worked and shopped at J.Crew, boyfriend jeans have never appealed to me. Recently, the came out with the slim boyfriend pant, and I love them! I'm normally a 6/8 and I had to wear a size 4 in them, so keep that in mind if you order them. I also LOVE the light denim wash. It's going to be pretty popular the rest of this year. Online they are still full price, so head into your local store.

2. I also got the Silk Sophie Blouse in dark slate. It actually has a hint of green in it. It's sooooo pretty, comfortable and a great piece that will transition into fall. In the store this blouse was on sale for $25.99.

3. Wide-rib wool tights in heather gray. They were marked down to $4.99, so I basically got them for $3.00. What a steal?! I can't wait to wear them this winter.

I also found a blush colored leather belt for $6.50. Unfortunatley, you can't find it online.

Great way to start off 27 don't you think? ;)

Weekend Deals

AAAAC-z5cXAAAAAAAFQLAQThis weekend I had the best luck finding great, quality clothes for very low prices. J CREW  had additional 20% off the lowest price on their sale items. Pretty darn incredible when you see what I paid for certain items. I also found cute, yellow Steve Madden flats for a screaming deal and they were the last pair in the store. =) I couldn't find a picture of the exact white pants I bought, but they were tweed with gold buttons on top. They were originally over $100.00, but I got them for $31! I found a cute gold mini skirt that will be great for all seasons. I can definitely see it being paired with black leggings for winter. I got it for $15!!! I'm not sure how much the yellow Steve Madden shoes were originally, but when I went to find them online they were only marked down to $35, but i got the last pair for $19! Lastly, I found this gray pencil skirt on a second pass in J. Crew while shopping for Ryan, and it fits perfectly. Only $19! These are all items that I see being worn for a long time, and staples in my growing "professional" wardrobe.

Affordable Saks Fifth Avenue

StevenAlanSaks Fifth Avenue is having a huge sale! Designer items are 70% off. Although, most people that I know would just look the other direction because Saks is a store that carries luxury items; however, I've found some really great things for under $100.00. I don't care whether something is last season or five years ago...If it looks great and the price is right, count me in!
